Preface:
 This collection of the Early Writings of Mrs. E. G. White is composed of two small works: "Findings and Views," which appeared in the year 1851, and "Spiritual Gifts," published in the year 1858.
 The small editions which were printed were sold out in a few years; but as many of the subjects had been treated at greater length in later works, these First Writings were not published again until the year 1882. The two books were then bound together in one volume.
 The goodwill with which this booklet has been received, and the sale of more than ten thousand copies, have made the publishers decide to have a Dutch edition printed.
